Google review cards for salons and barbers.
A client who has just seen the result in the mirror is as pleased as they will ever be. A card at the station or the front desk catches that moment.
Why the review does not get written.
People choose a stylist by reviews and photographs, and they are loyal once they have chosen. Loyal clients are the least likely to think of writing a review, because nobody has asked them.
Where the card goes.
- At each station
- A card by the mirror, one per chair. Each card has its own link, so the dashboard shows which chair earned the tap.
- At the front desk
- Beside the card reader, for the moment a client pays and books the next visit.
- In the waiting area
- Returning clients waiting for their appointment already know what they think of you.
When to ask.
- At the reveal, when the client sees the finished cut or colour.
- At payment, while they are booking their next appointment.
- When a client says a friend noticed their hair. That is a review waiting to be written.
Worth knowing.
- Do not offer money off the next visit for a review. Google's policy forbids rewards for reviews.
- A card per stylist lets you see taps per chair. Use it to learn who asks well, not to rank people.
- A client who picks a low rating is offered a private note first, which gives you the chance to offer a fix. The Google link stays on the page.
